Nude but not Naked!

I must admit as much as I like being naked and as much as I like sharing with you all somethings should not be shared with all and sundry! Todays post title ‘Nude but not Naked’ is a play on words to describe todays Outfit Of The Day (OOTD).

It’s because today’s  main colour of choice is nude I would have loved to wear nude from head to toe because I do love to be free in the naked sense but I had to go to work so that would have been highly inappropriate! Also working with young people it is not outside the realms of probability that I could get a little mucky on any given day.

Also Nude but not naked plays on the fact that as a black woman nude as sold in high street stores in Great Britain is not nude against my skin. It could not in any way be considered nude but alas that is the colour palette and a rant for another day! I am pretty sure they will not be the only articles on race and colour I am sure to write on this site.

Now some of you may look at my shoes and top and argue that they are not in fact nude but some other form of pink, beige or what have you and that’s alright. We all see the world differently and that’s what makes it such a fascinating and diverse place.

I would love to say that this outfit was inspired by something but besides the sun shining this morning and the weather man saying its was going to be a good day this outfit was born of sheer laziness. I looked at my clothes rail and thought what doesn’t need ironing!

I then looked at my feet and thought my Tootsie, although cute (in my opinion) could do with a pedicure so I just knew I would be wearing closed toe shoes and worked my outfit around that!

This post is also dedicated to my Grandad who has had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour in his eye today. He has always told me to go out there, be better, do more and he was very proud of me for picking a path less travelled in my family by putting myself out there and doing the whole YouTube and Blogging thing. So I wanted to give him a little shout out and I am so glad the surgery has gone well.He is such a charming, charismatic and articulate man and whilst he may be down an eye but he can still here and see what I have become and what I am doing and I hope I continue to make him proud!

 Please do not watch the chipped nail polish! As you can see from this post today was a lazy day! I weren’t about to take off my nail polish! I thought…’Meh, no one will see it!’ I do however think that this picture including the dodgy polish came out nice so I wanted to add it to this post!

I should really say that most of my clothes are purchased in sale periods. What can I say I like to bargain hunt!
